SUPER
MARKET

SUPERMARKET is show with songs that is an experiment in co-creation with supermarket workers, professional actors, volunteer participants and a supermarket DJ. The show turns a lens on the lives of ordinary people working at the coalface of capitalism, as it eats itself and drags us all into a rapidly escalating climate disaster.
CALL OUT FOR SUPERMARKET WORKERS
Do you work in a supermarket or know someone who does?
We are making a new, original show called SUPERMARKET at The New Wolsey Theatre and Cambridge Junction. We are looking for people to share their stories and experiences of supermarket life, how things have changed over the years and what it was like being a key worker during Covid. Whatever your role is we would love to talk to you - either in person or online, at a time that suits you.
As a thank you we will give you a £25 shopping voucher (for a maximum of 90 minutes of your time). All conversations will be strictly confidential and will take place between September and the end of December 2025.
If you would like to participate or to know more about the project call Nigel & Louise on 07894 267839 or email us at supermarket@nigelandlouise.com
If you know anyone else that might be interested please pass on our details.
This project is supported by
The New Wolsey Theatre, Metal Southend, Complicite, Cambridge Junction, Stobbs New Ideas Fund and Arts Council England.
